Holiday in Egypt is Gathering Speed
In 2017, 94 thousand Russian tourists visited Egypt, which is 37% more than in 2016. According to the Egyptian Tourism Development Authority, Russian tourists stayed overnight 991 thousand times, which is 73% more than in 2016. According to profi.travel, Russian citizens travelled to Egypt on their own through third countries, as organized tourism and direct flights to the ARE have been held up since 2015. According to the same online edition, the Egyptian authorities are planning to open flights to Russia and make forecasts of tours’ cost. Thus, a week tour to Cairo with the flight from Moscow and accommodation at a four-star hotel will cost for Russians about $650. The negotiations concerning the opening direct flights to the main touristic cities of Egypt Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh will be held in April, 2018.
Turkish Destination Made Up more than 50% of Tour Sales at the Early Booking Stage
Turkish destination makes up 55% of sales by early booking programs at Travelata.ru. The service reported that this index increased by 8% comparing to 2017. According to the data provided by the united TBG network and Hot Tours, the Turkish destination shows the growth from 26% to 50%.
Over 2017 the Tourist Flow From Russia to Indonesia Increased by 37%
TRN reports that, according to official statistics, 110,529 Russian tourists visited Indonesia over the past year. Comparing to 2016, the growth of interest towards this destination among Russian tourists made up 38.28% and put Russia at the top of the list by the growth rate of tourist flow in Indonesia among all the tourism markets.
From the 3rd to 5th March, the third Indonesian Festival will take place in Moscow. Its mission is to boost the interest towards the destination highlighting the country’s unique color and to show wide opportunities for business and rest.
